Terms of Service

Last updated: August 12, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Samebase and the samebase.com website. In these Terms, "Samebase", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of the Samebase service. By using Samebase, you agree to these Terms.

1. Operator

Samebase is operated by the Samebase team.

2. What Samebase is

Samebase is a workspace for code and agent-assisted workflows. It can connect to third-party services that you authorize.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Samebase.
  • If the law where you live requires parental or guardian permission for you to use online services, you must have that permission.
  • You are responsible for your account, your credentials, and the connected provider accounts you choose to link.

4. Connected providers and permissions

  • Samebase may act on information and permissions you give it through connected services.
  • You authorize Samebase to send the minimum necessary requests and data to those services to operate the features you enable.
  • Third-party terms, policies, and availability also apply to your use of those services.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Samebase to:

  • break the law
  • abuse, disrupt, or interfere with the service
  • access data, accounts, or systems without authorization
  • submit malware, exploit code, or harmful automation
  • upload or expose secrets, passwords, API keys, MFA codes, payment card data, health data, or other regulated or highly sensitive data unless clearly required and lawfully authorized
  • use the service in a way that violates the terms of a connected third-party service

6. Automation

  • Automated outputs, including code suggestions, plans, diffs, and operational recommendations, may be wrong, incomplete, or unsafe.
  • You are responsible for reviewing high-impact actions before you rely on them, especially for code changes, production operations, infrastructure actions, billing decisions, or security-sensitive work.
  • Samebase may require explicit approval for some sensitive actions, but that does not remove your responsibility to review the result.

7. Your content

  • You retain your rights in the content you submit or connect to Samebase.
  • You give Samebase the limited rights needed to host, process, copy, transform, cache, and transmit that content to operate Samebase and its integrations.
  • If you connect third-party repositories or services, you represent that you are authorized to do so and to let Samebase process that content for the features you enable.

8. Availability and product changes

  • Samebase is provided on an as-available basis.
  • Features may change, be paused, or be removed.
  • Preview, beta, experimental, or developer-facing functionality may change more often and may be less stable than the core service.

9. Third-party services

  • Samebase depends on third-party services and infrastructure that we do not control.
  • Samebase is not responsible for outages, data loss, policy changes, account suspensions, or other actions taken by those third-party services.

10. Suspension and termination

Samebase may suspend or terminate access to Samebase if:

  • you violate these Terms
  • your use creates security, legal, or operational risk
  • a connected provider requires restriction
  • the service is being changed, retired, or limited

11. Warranties disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Samebase is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Samebase will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of Samebase.

If the law does not allow some of these limits, they apply only to the maximum extent the law permits.

13. Governing law and disputes

Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the Samebase service operator. Unless a different agreement between you and Samebase says otherwise, disputes related to these Terms or your use of Samebase will be resolved by a court with competent jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these Terms

Samebase may update these Terms from time to time. If that happens, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of Samebase after the update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
